Boti Waterfalls holds a peculiar significance in the local culture and it is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Ghana’s natural beauty and culture.
It is located in Ghana Eastern Region, the capital is Koforidua, Eyokrobo District, Boti Town, Okrobo land.
The journey takes not less than two hours by car and offers scenic views of the countryside. On arrival, as you approach the fall, the rhythmic sound of cascading water fills the air, creating a sense of tranquility and excitement.
Once you arrive at the fall, you will find a small village with a few restaurants and shops catering to visitors.

That is Boti Waterfall, Agboti is the actual name meaning “river from the top of a rock” but has become Boti due to anglicization by the Whites. The waterfall is a twin Friday born, Affi and Kofo. They don’t like challenges else you can be killed. The female Affi is 12feet deep and the male Kofo is 20feet deep.
The water flows through 45 villages before getting to Boti after which, it flows into River Popo, then River Popo flows down to Ara.
The waterfall is believed to be the abode of the twin deity, Affi and Kofo and locals often come to the fall to seek blessings and guidance.
Boti Waterfall is the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature. The pool at the base of the fall is a haven for those seeking a refreshing dip. The best time to visit is during rainy season, between May to October when the fall is at its fullest.
There was an umbrella rock an hour by foot from Boti and 250 steps were taken to the waterfall from Boti, hence, comfortable shoes are required. Swimwear and a towel will be needed for swimming as well as a sunscreen and insect repellent for sensitive skin.
One must also be respectful of the locals, their customs and traditions in order to enjoy this invigorating journey into the stunning refreshing Boti Waterfall.
